Found out about your Centre through Groupon Voucher offer. Visited with my 9 yr old daughter who loves animals. We had fun admiring the birds and had a good laugh at the antics of 'Brian'. You do very good work and your staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Got to stroke 'Alfie' too. Ate in the play area, visited by a friendly but hungry cat, so watch out! Can imagine how much hard work it is, so keep up the good work :-)

Myself and my daughter had been zookeepers today, 11.1.14 and we have had an unforgettable experience we handled some of the animals and also entered into their living space which was awesome. We prepared food and mucked out (its all part of the job) The staff here are wonderful, very friendly and really knowledgable. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to everyone. Thankyou to all at Gentleshaws.

What a wonderful surprise Gentleshaws is, more animals than expected, more variety of Owls and Falcons than led to believe and although few enclosures in need of some TLC (actually going on during our visit) lots of new buildings and projects which when completed will surely help Gentleshaw rank amongst the top Wildlife Centres in the Country...AND the majority of animals are GENUINELY rescued cases who have had their lives enhanced and extended thanks to Gentleshaw. Well done everyone...I'll be back!

We have lots of good clean cuddly toys which we're looking to rehome to a local charity. Thought you could possibly sell them in your shop? Good luck with all of your fundraising. Hope to visit soon.

  Trina:
Thanks for your comments regarding the gift shop. We are aware that we are low on stock at present, alas a first casualty of the funds shortfall. However, we are looking at what we can put in which is inexpensive and fun for kiddies as we know how much they like to go away with something.
Thank you for your comments about the centre, so glad you felt the journey was worth it!

Visited the centre today after reading in the express and star about the bad weather keeping the visitors away. So we hadn't heard about the place and decided to find it out. We found it to be very interesting, all types of lovely birds of prey, the wildcats, lynx, the monkeys. A lovely place to visit and the garden centre was an added bonus, we will be visiting again in the future.
